It's good news week

It’s here that the best thing that ever happened to me did. Jimmy Clausen demonstrably proved he was never going to be an NFL quarterback, and it was a serious crap shoot of a draft with it truly feeling like the top five picks could be any combination of players all the way up until draft day. I was blogging about the Carolina Panthers, and obviously stakes were high with the No. It wasn’t until 2012 that I started seriously trying to evaluate players in the draft. Arguably the biggest difference maker on offense Monday night, this is a huge building block for the season. Green Bay running back Aaron Jones leveraged that Aaron-Aaron connection to its fullest, finishing with over 100 all-purpose yards, and four touchdowns. His four touchdown game was huge, not only to the Packers hopes, but restoring faith in No. Like the awkward teen returning to their high school reunion being successful as hell and making everyone jealous, Rodgers bounced back in a major way. That said, credit where it’s due: Detroit looks a lot more competitive than anyone gave them credit for. This was the quality he totally lacked in Week 1, and it felt like the Lions were just in the wrong place, at the wrong time for a statement game. Any hopes for some Packers-based schadenfreude were obliterated Monday night as Aaron Rodgers not only returned to playing like one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, but he looked like he was having fun doing it.
